Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 – Guwahati to Kaziranga

Your journey begins with a warm pickup from Guwahati Airport, followed by a scenic drive through lush Assamese tea gardens as you head toward Kaziranga National Park. Upon arrival, you check in to your resort and spend the evening enjoying a relaxing bonfire, traditional Assamese cuisine, and a cultural dance performance if available. The night is spent in the peaceful wilderness of Kaziranga.

Day 2

Day 2 – Kaziranga to Shillong

Early in the morning, you embark on an exciting elephant safari through the Central or Western Range of Kaziranga, where you may spot rhinos, wild elephants, and vibrant birdlife. After breakfast, you begin your journey toward Shillong, famously known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, you take a refreshing break at Umiam Lake to enjoy the panoramic view or opt for boating. By evening, you reach Shillong for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Day 3 – Shillong to Dawki and Shnongpdeng

After breakfast, the adventure continues as you travel to Dawki on the Indo–Bangladesh border. Here, you experience boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River, known for its transparent turquoise waters. You then proceed to Mawlynnong, Asia’s Cleanest Village, where you walk to the famous Living Root Bridge. Your day ends in Shnongpdeng village, where you spend the night close to the river in a peaceful natural setting.

Day 4

Day 4 – Shnongpdeng to Cherrapunjee

The morning is free for thrilling water activities such as ziplining or kayaking beside the river. Later, you begin your drive to Cherrapunjee, a land of clouds, waterfalls, and caves. On the way, you stop at the Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for breathtaking vistas. After reaching Cherrapunjee, you visit iconic spots like Seven Sisters Falls and the towering Nohkalikai Falls before settling in for the night.

Day 5

Day 5 – Cherrapunjee & Mawsynram Excursion

After breakfast, you set off for a full-day excursion to Mawsynram, recognized as one of the wettest places on Earth. You explore the mystical Mawjymbuin Cave and enjoy stunning viewpoints along the route. Later, you return to Cherrapunjee to explore attractions like Mawsmai Cave, Wei Sawdong Falls, and Arwah Cave if time allows, before returning to your hotel for another serene night’s stay.

Day 6

Day 6 – Cherrapunjee to Shillong

Today, you drive back to Shillong through beautiful mountain roads. On the way, you halt at Elephant Falls to enjoy its multi-tiered cascade and then continue to Shillong Peak for a sweeping view of the city. By evening, you return to Shillong with free time to discover Police Bazaar, its lively cafés, street food, and shopping.

Day 7

Day 7 – Shillong to Guwahati

After breakfast, you drive back to Guwahati. If not visited earlier, you may once again halt at Umiam Lake for photographs or a moment of relaxation. Upon reaching Guwahati, you visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti Peethas. In the evening, you unwind with a picturesque sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay is in Guwahati.

Day 8

Day 8 – Departure from Guwahati

After breakfast, you are dropped at Guwahati Airport according to your flight schedule. Your journey concludes with happy memories and unforgettable moments of Assam and Meghalaya.
